Ipswich Umbrella Trust Collection

Other
Ipswich Umbrella Trust

As you read this in the comfort of your homes, it is uncomfortable to know that less than 14 miles away in Ipswich, there are people who have no home and who don't know where their next meal is coming from.

Ipswich Umbrella Trust work to give such people a drink, a meal, a shower, dry clothes and try to help them back into work or to access health or social care so that they can live independently.

As part of their work they hand out emergency food boxes...a small collection of tinned goods that can provide an instant meal. Their post-Christmas stocks are very low!!!!

St Andrew's Church, Kettleburgh have decided to make a collection of such goods.

WHAT DO WE NEED?

Tins of meat or fish (Think of a meal to be heated in a saucepan)

Tins of pasta, beans or soup

Tins of vegetables or fruit

Packets of Soup

Tins of 'Puddings' eg rice pudding

Packets of Biscuits (Not tins....they are too large)

Tea bags (small packets...sadly they don't have enough volunteers even to divide up tea bags!)

Coffee ( small jars only)

WHEN ARE WE COLLECTING?

In KETTLEBURGH we are collecting door-to-door on Wednesday 28th March. We will distribute flyers to each house a week before. If you can help in any way at all, please contact Dinah Reed 01728 723613.

Please help! Your donations can make such a difference.
